Michael Iosifidis, MD PHD
Dr. Iosifidis underwent comprehensive training in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine at renowned institutions. Trained at the Orthopedic Clinic and the Center for Sports Medicine of the University of Pittsburgh, USA (University of Pittsburgh, Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Center for Sports Medicine).
Additional training at the Orthopedic Clinic of Hospital for Special Surgery, Weill Medical College of Cornell and Columbia Universities, New York City, USA (2007, 2008).
Further training at the Clinic of Orthopedics and Sports Injuries of the Technical University of Munich, Germany (Klinikum für Orthopädie und Sportorthopädie, Klinikum rechts der Isar der Technischen Universität München) in 2010.
Dr. Iosifidis actively contributes to the advancement of orthopedic education and research:
Conducted 63 training seminars for orthopedic surgeons. The Orth Biology Surgery Center is a Certified Teaching Center of the International Cartilage Repair and Joint Regeneration Society (ICRS).
Certified Teacher of the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery, and Arthroscopy (ESSKA).
Served on various committees, including the Communication and Publication Committee of ICRS (2013-2019), Bylaws and Membership Committee (2019-2021), Education Committee of ESSKA (2016-2018), and Education Committee of ISAKOS (2015-2019).
