Georgios Pantos

Dr. Pantos embarked on his medical journey at the School of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1975, graduating in 1981. He pursued specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology from 1986 to 1990 at the 1st Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic of the University of Athens under the guidance of Professor S. Mantalenakis, culminating in the completion of a doctoral thesis titled "Stimulation of ovaries for in vitro fertilization and intratubal transfer of gametes," earning him the esteemed title of Doctor of A.P.Th. with honors. Further enhancing his expertise, Dr. Pantos pursued retraining at the UNIVERSITE LIBRE DE BRUXELLES, Center for Human Reproduction of the Free University of Brussels (AZ – VUB) from 1991 to 1992, under the mentorship of Professors Paul Devroey and André Van Steirteghem. His academic journey continued as he transitioned into teaching roles at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (A.U.Th). He served as a Lecturer from 2003 to 2007, Assistant Professor from 2008 to 2011, Permanent Assistant from 2011 to 2013, and eventually attained the prestigious position of Associate Professor from 2013 to 2018. In 2018, he was honored with the title of Full Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology of A.P.Th. Throughout his professional career, Dr. Pantos held pivotal roles, serving as Scientific Associate and Head of the Endoscopic Surgery department at the 2nd Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic of the University of Athens at the "Ippokrateio" Hospital from 1992 to 1997. Concurrently, since 1992, he has been a partner in a private Center for Assisted Reproduction. From 1992 to 2000, he co-headed the Department of Endoscopic Surgery at a private clinic in Thessaloniki. Subsequently, he assumed the directorship of the Department of Endoscopic Surgery and the Head of the Obstetrics-Gynecology Department at the European Interbalkan Medical Center of Thessaloniki from 2000 to the present day, demonstrating unwavering commitment to advancing healthcare in his field.
