Georgios Goudelis, MD, PhD

Dr. George D. Goudelis, born in Cologne, Germany, completed his medical education at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His journey in orthopedic surgery began at the Pre-Educational Surgery Clinic in Thessaloniki, followed by a five-year residency at the First Orthopedic Clinic of the University of Athens. During this time, he received specialized training in reconstructive surgery, arthroscopic surgery, microsurgery, and pediatric orthopedics. Continuing his education in Germany, Dr. Goudelis received a scholarship from the Ruprecht-Karls University of Heidelberg to train at the ATOS Clinic in Heidelberg, a renowned center for knee, ankle, foot, and sports injuries surgery. Under the guidance of esteemed orthopedic professors, he gained expertise in advanced arthroscopic and reconstructive knee and foot surgery, as well as shoulder arthroplasty. In 2007, he earned his doctorate with honors from the University of Athens. Furthering his skills, Dr. Goudelis underwent intensive training in robotic knee surgery at the ZIMMER BIOMET INSTITUTE in Cologne, Germany, becoming certified in ROSA robotic arthroplasty. Throughout his career, Dr. Goudelis has been actively involved in academic pursuits, delivering speeches, publishing articles, and contributing chapters to medical books. He maintains a continuous connection with the ATOS Clinic in Heidelberg to stay abreast of advancements in orthopedics. Currently, Dr. Goudelis collaborates with the European Interbalkan Medical Center, where he specializes in reconstructive and personalized knee and hip surgery. He is globally certified in robotic orthopedic surgery and is known for his expertise in personalized knee arthroplasty and minimally invasive hip arthroplasty, earning international recognition for his contributions to the field.
