Arampatzis Chourmouzios, MD, PhD, FESC

Dr. Arampatzis studied Medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and specialized in cardiology at the G. Papanikolaou Hospital. He then specialized between 2002-2004 in interventional cardiology at the Thoraxcenter in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, where he prepared his doctoral thesis. In Greece, he performs his operations at the European Interbalkan Medical Center where he is the director of the third cardiological clinic and has performed over 7000 operations.  Dr. Arampatzis is part of a team of surgeons that is able to offer a wide range of advanced imaging techniques such as biesophageal and three-dimensional echocardiography, stress echo and stain imaging. The treatments he offers are complex angioplasty of the coronary vessels, ablation of the mediastinal septum with alcohol as a treatment for obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, percutaneous aortic valve replacements, convergence of the left atrial appendage, convergence of open foramen ovale and atrial defects, electrophysiological study for the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of heart rhythm disorders and implantation of conventional and biventricular pacemakers, defibrillators and loop recorders.
