Aggelos Sioutas MD, PhD

Dr. Sioutas, a distinguished figure in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology, embarked on a journey of medical excellence that began in May 1993. Serving as a teaching assistant at the Department of Medical Informatics and Pedagogy (MIP) at the renowned Karolinska Institutet in Sweden, Dr. Sioutas, laid the foundation for a career dedicated to healthcare innovation and education. During his tenure as a teaching assistant, Dr. Sioutas also assumed the role of post-master for student E-mail at Karolinska Institutet, demonstrating his multifaceted approach to supporting both academic and administrative functions within the institution. Driven by a passion for hands-on patient care, Dr. Sioutas transitioned to clinical practice, serving as a resident doctor at various healthcare institutions across Sweden. From the Department of Surgery at Torsby Hospital to the North Health District County Council in Vaermland, Dr. Sioutas honed his skills in diverse medical settings, enriching his understanding of healthcare delivery and patient needs. His journey continued with a residency at the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Central Hospital in Karlstad, where Dr. Sioutas developed a keen interest in women's health and reproductive medicine. From March 2001 to April 2005, Dr. Sioutas served as a resident doctor at the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Karolinska University Hospital, contributing to the advancement of clinical care and medical research in his field. His dedication and expertise were further recognized when he assumed the role of consultant at the same department from May 2005 to June 2008. On July 1, 2008, Dr. Sioutas elevated his career as a Senior Consultant at the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Karolinska University Hospital, where he continues to make profound contributions to patient care and medical education.
